You will want to customize your two widget stacks on the widget screen to make it more useful, and you can also customize how the time is displayed and the photos that you see. But if you have signatures (SHSH blob) saved for an older firmware for your device, Apple won’t be able to stop you from downgrading firmware even if they stop signing older firmware.Īll popular tools that you use to save SHSH blobs require you to enter a valid ECID number. Apple won’t let you downgrade your iPhone or iPad firmware. Because once the new firmware is out, Apple stops signing older firmware and without a signature for the older firmware, you cannot restore your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch to that older firmware. If you want to secure your future jailbreak, it’s important to save these signatures before a new firmware comes out. When you restore your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, the iTunes contact Apple servers and generate signatures for your device.
